Meena Maxwell

Born and bred in Thailand, Meena now lives in Sydney where she paints from her studio at home. A self-taught artist with a playful palette, Meena’s ethereal art form is a dramatic reflection of herself as an artist, bright, fun and bubbly. 

Drawing on the feeling of embracing discomfort, her expressive use of colours and contrasting composition commands you to look twice. With play a the centre of her practice, Meena’s art explores the balance of structured expression and radical freedom.
